Step 1 — How to Program a New Key
- Cut the Key — Take the included replacement key blank to a locksmith, hardware store or supermarket to have it cut to your vehicle
- Download the App — Search "TOP KEY" in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Download, install, register and log in
- Connect the Dongle — Plug the TOPKEY OBD2 dongle into your vehicle's OBD2 port. Open the app and connect via Bluetooth. Blue LED confirms successful connection
- Download Vehicle Software — In the app, download the software for your car make and model
- Program the Key — Select "Key Matching" in the app and follow the on-screen instructions to complete programming
- Clear IMMO Codes — After programming, clear any immobiliser fault codes via the app to finish the process
Step 2 — How to Add an Extra Key or Remote
- Check Network — Ensure your phone has an active internet connection to download the required vehicle software
- Start Key Matching — In the TOPKEY app, select "Key Matching" and choose to add an extra key or remote control
- Follow the App — Follow the step-by-step on-screen instructions to complete the programming procedure
- Clear Fault Codes — Clear any IMMO fault codes after programming is complete
